These are fun to read. Recently I was walking on a beach (Seward, Alaska) full of rocks that are often home to barnacles. I was thinking about you and wondered the name for a group of barnacles. I spent way more time than I probably should have looking for this tidbit, and found only two possibilities: on funtrivia.com the name was a “fixture of barnacles” and one other was a “congress of barnacles.” Can’t remember where that was.
Brilliant, Marilyn! I have over 30 posts already written for my Animal Kingdom blog thread — and I completely missed BARNACLES on my list – … I will remedy this right away. Thanks, I love it!
